Happy Birthday Brian!

If Brian Jones, founding member of The Rolling Stones, was still alive, he would today be celebrating his 68th birthday. Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones was a very talented musician, possessing the ability to play a large range of instruments, from guitar to harmonica, and even the saxophone. Unfortunately, his drug addiction got the better of him; his life deteriorated around him and this did not go unnoticed by the rest of the band. On the 8th of June, 1969, Brian was visited by his band to be informed that he could no longer be a member. Less than a month later, he was found dead at the bottom of the swimming pool at his lavish home, Cotchford Farm, a property formerly owned by A.A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh. Mystery still surrounds the nature of his death.
A great contributor to Britain's musical culture, may Brian Jones rest in peace.
