Three of the four Rolling Stones are to meet up and get back into the music later this month, fuelling the long-lived rumours that they will go on a 50th anniversary tour next year. Mick Jagger has not confirmed his attendance.

A previously unheard and recently remastered Rolling Stones track, 'No Spare Parts', to be released on the forthcoming re-issue of their 1978 studio album, Some Girls, has surfaced on the internet. The track has been available only on bootleg and was recorded somewhere between January and March 1978. Read on to hear the track!

U2 have broken the world record for the largest grossing tour in history, earning £451 million for their '360 degrees' tour. The record was previously held by the Rolling Stones, who grossed £342 million for their 'A Bigger Bang' tour from 2005-2007.

According to NME, the band have a notion to mark the occasion. Richards told The Sun: The idea is there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobodys put their finger on the moment yet.
The Stones guitarist also said he and Jagger had patched up any differences that arose from Richards memoirs, published last year.
Mick pouted a bit, as is his wont, he said. I told him, Its water under the bridge. I want to talk about the future. Were larger than a little bitching.
News came out last week that Jagger has been working with a new group, Super Heavy, alongside Eurythmics Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, A.R. Rahman and Damian Marley, while Richards has been working with his X-pensive Winos band.

The Rolling Stones are, amid rumours, officially planning a tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2012... We think. You see, we have received no official word thus far from the band - usually there is a press conference. Instead we've found out through a lawsuit against the Stones' tour promoter, Live Nation.
Ex-chairman of Live Nation, Michael Cohl, was originally sued by the company for $5.35 million for breaching the contract he signed when he left the company in 2008. In a dramatic turn around, Cohl is now suing the company back, claiming that Live Nation actually breached the very same contract by attempting to "interfere with" and "destroy" his opportunity to procure the rights to a Rolling Stones tour in 2012.
Cohl and Live Nation have been fighting over the rights to the forthcoming planned tour since February of last year.

Richards is currently promoting a new autobiography entitled Life, released in late October. In an interview with the BBC this week, the famed rock 'n' roller stated that he and his bandmates are "ready to go out there again."
"Who said it should stop, and who said when? That's what we want to find out. We'll know when it comes to an end, with a crashing halt," he told BBC 6 Music.
He stated that the Stones were hoping to go back on tour in 2011 and return to recording in the next few months.
"After these many years working together, we have a lot of unfinished stuff to work on that we had to leave off the last album," Richards said.
"And knowing Mick, as I do, he's a very prolific writer. I have ideas [too] and we'll put them together in December or January, something like that ... We're looking forward to working on it."

An Olympics source revealed: "The 2012 Olympics opening ceremony is going to be spectacular. It has to be to kick off the event in great British style. Everyone wants to be a part of this historical happening and what is great for us is The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney are interested in playing.
"They both have an outstanding catalogue of hit after hit that everyone across the world knows. The Stones and McCartney can easily carry off something of this magnitude on the world stage.
"Were looking at the American Super Bowls half-time show which they have played at as the kind of thing were going for with the opening ceremony. It would be great to have both but there can only be one headliner.
"Its going to be difficult but talks have opened and well see what can be worked out."
