The Rolling Stones have announced that they will be releasing a new documentary in celebration of their 50th anniversary. The film, to be directed by Brett Morgen, will contain never-seen-before footage of the Stones, right from 1962 to 2012. The film is to be released in September 2012.

Hyperion Books has been working closely with the Rolling Stones to publish what it calls the only "authorized book curated by the Rolling Stones to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary." The book, containing text and previously unseen photos, is due to be released in fall.
