The Rolling Stones have announced that they will be releasing a new documentary in celebration of their 50th anniversary. The film, to be directed by Brett Morgen, will contain never-seen-before footage of the Stones, right from 1962 to 2012. The film is to be released in September 2012.

In a radio interview with Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2, Charlie Watts has not been so enthusiastic at the prospect of a tour, despite Ronnie Wood having said that the Rolling Stones are 'on the verge' of touring.

Hyperion Books has been working closely with the Rolling Stones to publish what it calls the only "authorized book curated by the Rolling Stones to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary." The book, containing text and previously unseen photos, is due to be released in fall.

Ronnie Wood has added to the heavy rumours that the Stones will tour in 2012 by telling Radio Times that the band is "on the verge of touring". Read on to find out more!

Videos have been circulating online from "In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues", the show Mick Jagger, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr and others played on the 21st February in homage to blues music.
